This original shadow box was designed and handcrafted by SY Perl, an artist and expert in creating realistic shadow boxes. The Succah'la is a realistic imitation of the wooden hut that Jews build in the fall season for the holiday of Succos. Traditionally, the Succah is lined with white fabric and the walls and roof are decorated with accessories pertaining to the holiday. The festival of Succos lasts seven days and the Succah is used for meals and family celebrations throughout the holiday. In the shadow box, you can see the table set for a traditional meal. You can see the sink used to wash the hands before eating the challah and the side table with the candlesticks that are lit at the onset of the holiday. The roof is lined with fir branches as dictated by Jewish law and the sign on the door welcomes all to join. You can also see a picture frame hanging on the wall with a picture of the Rabbi dancing on the holiday. The outer walls are lined with thin wooden pieces to replicate the real wooden planks used to build the Succah.

This shadow box will make a lovely addition to anyone's home or real Succah.
